Gaining Confidence as a Performer

I’ve been a performer for quite some time, and one of the most frequently asked questions I get is how I got started…and why did I choose this industry. There are certain perks to being an actress, and a model, but unless you’re getting paid a ton of money, the stresses can outweigh the rewards.

Why put yourself in the face of rejection time and time again? It’s my passion. I honestly can’t imagine a life without performing. I was created for this, and I know the Lord led me to where I am today. After my pilot episode of “It’s Only Reality” aired last Sunday, I was asked by a friend:

“Hi! I enjoy watching your YouTube channel and I love your confidence. Would you make a video on your confidence? Have you always been confident? Any struggles etc?”

I’ve become so accustomed to putting on my confident self that I sometimes forget how shy I used to be. I’m talking walking-down-the-street-and-looking-at-the-ground-so-that-I-didn’t-have-to-make-eye-contact-with-strangers kind of shy.

There are many things that have built my self-esteem over the years, so I thought I’d share that along with what steps kickstarted my career and landed me in L.A. I’ll do a more in-depth explanation of my career in Los Angeles soon since this is just a preview of my life from childhood until now and what influences got me to the stage and on-screen.

I hope you enjoy this video. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please drop a line or two below.

Until next time…

❤ K. Love
